You are BERUFen 2025: 77 Young People Explore Careers in Wiesbaden
The 2025 edition of 'You are BERUFen', an action week in Wiesbaden, has successfully concluded. The event, organised by Science on Stage Deutschland e.V. and sponsored by Gesamtmetall, provided young people with a week-long insight into the working world, boosting their confidence and career prospects.
The action week took place from September 25 to October 1, with 105 young people applying and 77 securing a place. They submitted one-minute application videos and short profiles to participate. The week involved working in companies, learning about training occupations, and experiencing the working world firsthand. The project is supported by Social Department Head Dr. Patricia Becher, who aims to showcase the wide range of professions available.
The closing event was held at the Wartburg and was led by two students and one student. It marked the end of a successful initiative that often leads to further opportunities, such as intensive internships, aptitude test invitations, or even training positions. This year, 21 companies and institutions opened their doors to participants, providing valuable insights into various industries.
The 'You are BERUFen' action week in Wiesbaden has once again proven its value in helping young people explore career paths and gain practical experience. With 77 participants placed in 21 companies and institutions, the project continues to foster connections between young talent and the working world.
