Xavier University Medical School in Aruba, in partnership with KLE University, launches an international program for Indian students aiming to practice medicine in the United States and Canada.

In a significant move towards international medical education collaboration, the Xavier University School of Medicine (XUSOM), Aruba, and KLE University, India, have launched an International Medical Pathway Program. This program is specifically designed for Indian students who aspire to become doctors in North America.

The journey begins at KLE University’s Belgaum campus, where students will complete their foundational pre-health sciences. Afterward, they will transition to XUSOM in Aruba for advanced medical education that aligns with global medical standards. The final phase of the program involves clinical rotations in the United States, preparing students for medical licensure exams and practice in North America.

This collaboration combines KLE University's strong foundation in pre-health sciences with Xavier's globally recognized medical curriculum and clinical training opportunities in the United States. The program aims to provide a globally aligned, academically rigorous curriculum taught by experienced faculty, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and international exposure necessary for success in North American medical practice.

Mamta Purbey, Director of Admissions & Marketing at XUSOM, stated that the program offers Indian students not only a robust academic curriculum but also personalized guidance and support throughout their medical education journey. Ravi Bhooplapur, President of XUSOM, echoed this sentiment, saying that the partnership with KLE University represents a shared commitment to creating accessible, world-class medical education pathways for talented students in India.

Dr. Arun Kumar Dubey, Chief Academic Officer of XUSOM, emphasized that the collaboration brings a globally aligned medical curriculum taught by experienced and highly qualified faculty. He further stressed that the mission is to eliminate uncertainty for aspiring medical professionals by offering a clear, structured, and academically rigorous pathway. Xavier University's dedicated team ensures students navigate each stage smoothly, from admission through clinical rotations.

This program represents a significant step in international medical education collaboration, specifically tailored to support Indian students' ambitions of practicing medicine in North America by offering a seamless education pathway from India to Aruba and then the U.S. This partnership marks a significant step toward removing barriers and providing clear guidance for Indian students determined to pursue a medical career abroad.
