US Holocaust Museum's 'Neighbors' Exhibition Visits Bergheim to Educate Youth on Extremism Prevention

A travelling exhibition about National Socialism, organised by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, recently visited Bergheim. The exhibition, titled 'Some were neighbors', aimed to educate young people about extremism prevention as part of the county police department's work.

Several school classes, including one from the local vocational school (Berufsschule) in Bergheim, attended the exhibition. Accompanying the vocational school class was Frank Rock, who is also the county commissioner. Rock emphasised the importance of understanding past actions that shaped democracy to protect it.

The exhibition, which focuses on the impact of National Socialism, is designed to be accessible to young people. It is part of the county police department's ongoing efforts to prevent extremism.

Despite the exhibition's visit to Bergheim, information about the head of the local vocational school who participated in the event could not be found in the search results. Nevertheless, the exhibition's impact on the visiting students, including those from the vocational school, is expected to be significant in promoting understanding and awareness of past extremism.
