Examination Structure:

Based on the Unified Exam System, the following applies for everyone:

Written Exam:- Stage 1: Preliminary Exam with 100 marks and a pass mark of 45.- Stage 2 (for services other than Foreign): Main Exam with 300 marks.- Stage 2 (for Foreign Service): Main Exam with 400 marks.

Final Stage Exam:- Skills Test, Group Test, and Interview (all except Foreign Service): 60 marks.- Skills Test, Group Test, and Interview (Foreign Service): 70 marks.

Exam Scheme (Written Exam):

(a) Stage 1: Preliminary Exam- Total Marks: 100- Total Time: 1 Hour 30 Minutes- Subject Structure: - Administrative Aptitude Test (AAT) - Part A: General Awareness (50 marks, 50 questions) - Part B: Aptitude Test (30 marks, 30 questions) - Part C: English Language Competence Test (20 marks, 20 questions)

(b) Stage 2: Main Exam- For services other than Foreign: Total Marks - 300

Exam Structure for Nepal Foreign Service:

Extra Paper I: English Language with 100 marks and a pass mark of 40.

Extra Paper II: Foreign Policy & International Relations with 100 marks and a pass mark of 40.

(For services other than Foreign Service only):

Second Paper: Governance Systems:- Total Marks: 100- Time: 3 Hours- Subjects: Contemporary Issues, Service-related Subjects (10 questions each worth 10 marks)
