University of Calgary & QAI Ventures Launch Global Quantum Tech Accelerator

The University of Calgary's Quantum City and Swiss venture capital firm QAI Ventures have joined forces to launch the QAI Ventures Accelerator in 2025. This global hub for quantum technology development will be based in Alberta, with Michael J. Levit at its helm.

The accelerator, powered by Quantum City, will offer entrepreneurs premium access to cutting-edge technology, expert guidance, and mentorship. QAI Ventures plans to invest in the startup cohort, aiming to speed up the development of marketable solutions.

Recognized for its significant contributions to quantum research, the University of Calgary will continue driving technology innovation through this collaboration. QAI Ventures CEO Alexandra Beckstein and Quantum City's managing director Megan Lee have expressed their commitment to fostering innovation and growing the quantum ecosystem.

The QAI Ventures Accelerator, set to kick off in 2025, is expected to attract the world's best quantum startups to Calgary. By combining QAI Ventures' investment prowess with Quantum City's technological expertise, this partnership aims to continue the work of QAI Ventures in fostering global quantum innovation.
