The city of Halle (Saale) is set to host an exciting exhibition titled "The Printed Gallery: Graphics at the University," which will run from June 28 to September 28, 2025, at the Kunsthalle Moritzburg Halle (Saale). This event, hosted by Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, promises a captivating journey through the graphic tradition associated with the university.

The exhibition is a collaborative effort between the Institute of Art History, Archaeologies, and Classical Studies and the Central Art Collection. It showcases works from the University of Halle's Kupferstichkabinett, one of the oldest and most comprehensive print graphics collections at German universities, founded in 1820.

The exhibition features a diverse collection of graphic art associated with the university, highlighting historical prints and graphic designs created by or linked to members of the university, works reflecting the artistic and academic heritage of Martin Luther University, and pieces that illustrate developments in graphic techniques and styles over time within the university context.

One of the exhibition's highlights is the inclusion of works by Halle-based artist Moritz Götze. His prints will be showcased at the Kupferstichkabinett, located nearby the exhibition venue. The exhibition is complemented by a presentation of Götze's works at the Kupferstichkabinett, providing visitors with a comprehensive view of his graphic art.

The guided tours of the exhibition will take place on July 4 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm and from 9:30 to 10:30 pm. These tours will be led by six master's students in art history, who will share their insights and knowledge about the selected prints, their origins, and methods of reproducing drawings, paintings, and sculptures.

The exhibition is a significant part of the Long Night of Sciences event, which will take place on July 4. This event offers visitors the opportunity to explore various scientific and cultural attractions across the city, making it an ideal time to visit "The Printed Gallery: Graphics at the University."
