The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the UGC NET June 2025 examination. The results are available for download at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
A total of 7,52,007 candidates appeared for the exam out of 10,19,751 registered. The results show a detailed breakdown as follows:
- 5,269 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) along with Assistant Professor posts. - 54,885 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor positions as well as admissions to PhD programs. - 1,28,179 candidates qualified for PhD admission only.
The examination was held from June 25 to June 29, 2025, across multiple disciplines. The result was declared on July 21, 2025, earlier than expected.
The JRF qualification is valid for three years from the result date, while Assistant Professor eligibility is valid lifelong. The scorecards and result PDFs can be downloaded by candidates after providing their registration number and password.
NTA has also released the final answer key for the UGC NET 2025 exam and subject-wise cut-offs to maintain transparency. The cut-offs for general category candidates are ≥40% aggregate marks, and for reserved categories, they need ≥35% to qualify.
