UAE Launches Ambitious Entrepreneurship Programme for 10,000 Emiratis
The Ministry of Economy and Tourism, in collaboration with New Economy Academy and Ignyte, has launched an ambitious Entrepreneurship Programme. Aiming to equip 10,000 Emiratis with entrepreneurial skills, the programme reflects the UAE leadership's vision for a sustainable, innovative economy.
Under-Secretary Abdulla Ahmed Al Saleh announced the programme, highlighting its role in strengthening the UAE's global position as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation. The initiative is part of 'The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World' campaign, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Set to commence in November, the programme offers both remote and in-person sessions at the New Economy Academy in Dubai. It features two tracks: a three-day 'Essentials of Entrepreneurship' course and a six-day 'Complete Entrepreneurship' masterclass. Participants will gain practical skills in idea generation, market analysis, business model development, and global expansion strategies.
Arif Amiri, CEO of the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority, praised Ignyte's role in driving innovation and empowering youth, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) goals. Dr. Laila Faridoon, CEO of the New Economy Academy, emphasised the programme's aim to provide participants with tools to transform ideas into viable projects, contributing to the UAE's development journey.
The Entrepreneurship Programme, launched by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, New Economy Academy, and Ignyte, aims to empower 10,000 Emiratis with entrepreneurial skills. Starting in November, the programme combines theoretical learning with practical training, offering two tracks to suit different levels of commitment. With the support of local leaders and organisations, the programme seeks to foster innovation and contribute to the UAE's economic growth.
