Two Elementary Schools Triumph Despite Challenges, Welcoming Visitors With Music
Two elementary schools in the region, Wilhelm-Strauß-Straße and Am Ringerberg, have welcomed visitors with music and reported a successful start despite challenges. The visit confirmed the wisdom of maintaining two independent schools.
At Wilhelm-Strauß-Straße Elementary School, the children greeted visitors with two songs, led by their teachers. Principal Svenja Theißen guided the visitors, sharing the school's progress with 55 new first-graders. Despite challenges such as children with little or no German language skills, both schools reported a successful start. They are actively seeking solutions and improvising to support the children's well-being.
Am Ringerberg Elementary School also greeted visitors musically, this time with a composition by teacher Lena Rehberg. The school is establishing a violence prevention program, with the parent association collecting donations. Principal Silvana Tenbült sees the school song as expressing the school's desire to be a community and a home. Both schools have ongoing projects to support progress.
Mayor Heinrichs and Deputy Mayor Schüßler praised the progress and efforts of both schools. Despite initial challenges, the schools are committed to supporting their students and creating a positive learning environment.
