Transact Integrates Digital Wallets for Seamless Campus Experience
The ETIH Innovation Awards 2026, celebrating global excellence in education technology, has opened entries to organizations worldwide. The awards focus on workforce development, AI integration, and innovative learning solutions, with a particular emphasis on measurable impact in K-12 classrooms, higher education institutions, and lifelong learning settings.
Transact, a leading provider of mobile-first campus solutions, has announced a significant update to its platform. The company, which connects housing, dining, retail, and security services, has integrated digital wallets, making it more convenient for students who are already accustomed to using them. This integration will also enhance security, reduce IT support demands, and speed up student adoption.
The integration, which eliminates the need for an additional app, is set to benefit the over 600 colleges and universities in the USA, Canada, and Australia that already use Transact's mobile-first design platform. Furthermore, students can now add their campus ID directly to Apple and Google Wallets, thanks to a recent announcement by Transact and CBORD.
Winners of the ETIH Innovation Awards 2026 will be announced on 14 January 2026 and featured in the first print magazine of the awards. The integration of digital wallets by Transact is a testament to the ongoing innovation in education technology, aimed at enhancing the student experience and improving operational efficiency.
