Tony Elumelu Foundation Empowers 18,500 Nigerian Women with N1 Billion
The Tony Elumelu Foundation has donated one billion Naira to empower 18,500 women across Nigeria. This generous contribution will be distributed through the RHI/Tony Elumelu Foundation Women Economic Empowerment Programme, benefiting 500 women from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), supported by the Tony Elumelu Foundation, has launched a N25 million Recapitalisation Grant for 500 women in the FCT. The programme aims to uplift women traders and small-scale business owners by providing financial support to strengthen and recapitalise their businesses. Each beneficiary will receive N50,000.
The Tony Elumelu Foundation's donation and the RHI's Recapitalisation Grant are expected to significantly impact the lives of thousands of Nigerian women, providing them with the means to grow their businesses and improve their economic status.
