Ten educational institutions situated in Almaty to undergo renovation process

In the heart of Almaty, Kazakhstan, several educational institutions are preparing for major renovations, with the academic continuity of students being prioritized throughout the process. The city administration has assured that temporary placement of children during the renovation works will prioritize safety and living conditions, and children will remain attending their current schools.

The schools set for repairs include Gymnasium No.56, Schools No.13, 43, 56, 90, 112, 124, 128, 142, 158, and Internat No.17, as well as the Branch of School No.59 and Internat No.17. Each institution's repair schedule varies, with No.50 undergoing repairs from March 2025 to January 2026, No.189 from September 2024 to December, No.58 from July 2024 to December, No.160 from March 2025 to October 2026, No.60 from March 2025 to October 2026, No.73 from January 2024 to September, and No.30 from April 2025 to August 2026.

However, the question of where the children from Gymnasium No.56 will be redistributed remains unanswered, as the Akimat of the district and the education department have not yet provided information on the matter. The children from the other schools listed will continue their education without being separated or relocated to other institutions during the major repairs of their school buildings.

This approach aligns with recent statements regarding the Baganashyl Orphanage under Almaty's jurisdiction, where renovation plans include ensuring children stay in their current schools without temporary relocation elsewhere. Therefore, for these schools undergoing major repairs, education continuity will be maintained at their current locations with appropriate arrangements.

The upcoming academic year will see 10 schools in Almaty undergo major repairs, with the education department yet to respond to questions regarding any alternative temporary education sites or transfers for the affected students. The situation will be managed locally to avoid disrupting children's schooling as much as possible.

Education-and-self-development will be maintained for the students of Gymnasium No.56, despite their school being one of the ten undergoing major renovations in Almaty, as the Akimat of the district and the education department are yet to provide information on their redistribution. On the other hand, students from Schools No.13, 43, 56, 90, 112, 124, 128, 142, 158, Internat No.17, the Branch of School No.59, and Internat No.17 will continue their education without interruption or relocation during the renovation process.
