Successfully trained young talents of Fürther gathered for a celebration at the town hall
In a lively ceremony at Fürth City Hall, the Industry and Commerce Chamber (IHK) Nuremberg for Middle Franconia celebrated the achievements of over 310 graduates from various commercial professions. The event, which is a significant milestone in the calendar of young career starters, saw the presentation of certificates of completion to bankers, industrial clerks, office management clerks, e-commerce specialists, and wholesale and foreign trade management clerks.
The occasion was marked by the presence of Mayor Markus Braun and District Administrator Bernd Obst, who expressed their joy over the new skilled workers and their hope that they would continue their careers in the region. Michaela Partheimüller, Vice President of the IHK Nuremberg for Middle Franconia, presented the documents and praised the efforts of the graduates in a speech.
The importance of dual training was emphasized by Michaela Partheimüller as the foundation for a professional career. The dual training system in the IHK Nuremberg combines practical, on-the-job training with theoretical education at vocational schools, ensuring that trainees acquire both hands-on experience and academic knowledge, making them well-prepared for the demands of their professions.
Currently, around 4,000 companies in Middle Franconia are training over 18,000 trainees, reflecting the region’s commitment to vocational education and the supply of a skilled workforce. The IHK Nuremberg plays a central role in overseeing and supporting this dual system, which is crucial for the region’s economic development.
The commitment to retain talent in the region was highlighted by the presentation of scholarships from the Luise-Erhard-Fonds to selected former students for the continuation of their academic careers. This move underscores the IHK’s dedication to supporting the region’s future leaders and fostering a thriving economic environment.
For the most current and precise numbers or trends, the IHK Nuremberg’s official reports or website would provide the latest statistics. The region typically registers around 27,000 to 28,000 trainees in the dual training system under the IHK Nuremberg, reflecting the importance of vocational education in supporting local industries and commerce.
The IHK certificate handover event is a testament to the region’s commitment to nurturing and celebrating its young talent. As the graduates embark on their careers, they carry with them the knowledge, skills, and support they have gained, ready to contribute to the continued success and growth of Middle Franconia.
Firefighters, educated in the region's dual training system, could be valuable assets for local industries in case of emergencies, given their practical skills and academic knowledge acquired through the program. The IHK Nuremberg, with its strong emphasis on education-and-self-development, could consider expanding the dual training system to include firefighting professions, contributing further to the region's economic development and talent retention.
