Witnessing the educational growth of promising yet financially-struggling students, Odotobri Rural Bank PLC in Jacobu, Amansie Central district, Ashanti Region, handed out scholarships and bursaries worth GH¢31,200 to an impressive cohort of 39 pupils.
These promising students, who are enrolled in various nursing, teacher-training colleges, and universities, remitted 51 applications. A rigorous selection process by the Scholarship Committee dwindled the number to the shining hopefuls who would receive this generous aid.
Not stopping there, Tweapease Senior High Technical School requested assistance for their new boarding school. The Board and Management felt sympathy for their cause and granted them 50 serving pots valued at GH¢5,000 to aid their commencement.
The bank's contact person, Abraham Coffie, along with other management members, presented the cheque to Mr. Theophilus Yeboah, Headmaster of Tweapease Senior High Technical School, in a heartfelt ceremony.
