Ruling made on a case concerning the "site" of a school for the deaf in the court system

In the heart of Yakutsk, a city in Russia's Sakha Republic, a criminal case was initiated on January 15, 2024, surrounding events at a local boarding school. This case revolves around allegations made against the former teacher of the institution, Valentina Fedorenko, who is the main suspect in the case.

The Yakutsk City Court made a decision on a lawsuit filed by Inessa Argunova, the deputy director of a school for the deaf, against Maria Anisimova, editor of "Yakutia.Info," on August 7. The lawsuit was about a defamatory publication written by Anisimova, questioning Argunova's competence at the school for the deaf.

Argunova's lawsuit was based on the publication's claims that she is an incompetent manager, unfamiliar with sign language and special teaching methods for the deaf, and unfit for her position. However, the findings of a linguistics expert analysis conducted by Victoria Radchenko, a candidate of philological sciences and head of the linguistics expert center at the North-Eastern Federal University, concluded that the text published on the internet contained negative information about Argunova, her activities, and professional qualities.

Maria Anisimova, in response, provided an alternative expertise conducted by Doctor of Linguistics Sergei Balakin from the Linguistic and Psychological Expertise Center in Yekaterinburg. The findings of the alternative expertise were that no negative information or negative statements about Inessa Argunova were found.

Meanwhile, Stanislav Robertovich Khristoforov, the former director of the Yakutsk Industrial Technical School, was appointed as the new director of the school instead of the dismissed Oksana Vinokurova. It is important to note that Vinokurova was later fired from her job.

The former teacher, Valentina Fedorenko, accused Vinokurova of creating an unhealthy atmosphere in the school-internate. This accusation is one of the points being considered under the provisions of points "a" and "g" of part 2 of article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture of minors).

The criminal case against Fedorova is currently under additional review by the General Prosecutor's Office of Russia. Judge Natalya Novikova ordered a linguistics expert analysis of the statements in question, and her decision can be appealed in the Supreme Court of Yakutia within one month.

As of now, there are no publicly available updates or official statements regarding the defamation lawsuit filed by Inessa Argunova against Maria Anisimova. It is recommended to check legal databases, news sources covering education or legal affairs in the relevant jurisdiction, or official court records for more detailed or current information.
