Over 200 educational institutions in the Novosibirsk region will undergo repairs by the upcoming academic year.

The Novosibirsk region is gearing up for the 2025/2026 academic year with a focus on improving its educational infrastructure and promoting technological development. Governor Andrei Travnikov is overseeing the major repairs of 38 schools within the region, as part of the national project "Youth and Children".

School No. 128 in Novosibirsk is nearing completion of its major repairs, which include updates to walls, roofs, facades, heating, water supply, sewage systems, electrical work, and territory landscaping. By the end of this year, 10 schools in the region are expected to complete their repairs. The joint work of the Novosibirsk region's Ministry of Education and the Novosibirsk city administration is ensuring that these repairs are carried out efficiently, solving the complex task of preparing for the new academic year.

In addition to the repairs, the regional government is also focusing on infrastructure support for educational institutions. As of now, repairs are ongoing in a total of 1,234 educational institutions in the Novosibirsk region, including schools, kindergartens, and additional education facilities.

Meanwhile, Governor Travnikov has set his sights on advancing technological innovation. He is preparing for the XII International Forum on Technological Development "Technoprom", which is set to take place. Travnikov's plans for the forum focus on fostering collaboration between scientific communities and industries, promoting the Novosibirsk region as a key hub for technological development in Russia and globally.

Over 4,500 participants from 32 Russian regions and 15 countries have registered for the forum, with a significant number of foreign applications coming from the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China. Travnikov aims to leverage the forum to attract investment, support startups and high-tech companies, and enhance the region’s scientific and educational infrastructure.

Through these efforts, Travnikov intends to strengthen the integration of research, production, and commercialization of new technologies, contributing to sustainable economic growth and technological leadership. By doing so, he hopes to position the Novosibirsk region as a leading centre for technological innovation in Russia.

What about the education-and-self-development aspect of Governor Travnikov's initiatives? He is not only focusing on the repairs and infrastructure support for physical schools but also planning to advance technological innovation. The XII International Forum on Technological Development "Technoprom" is a platform he is preparing, aiming to foster collaboration between scientific communities and industries, promoting the Novosibirsk region as a key hub for technological development not just in Russia, but globally.
