Over 100 Delegates Launch 'Your Future Story' Scheme for South West Students

Over 100 delegates gathered at the University of Exeter for the inaugural 'Your Future Story' conference. The event united representatives from schools, trusts, and universities, focusing on boosting educational aspirations in the South West of England, a region with lower university progression rates than other parts of the country.

The conference marked the launch of the 'Your Future Story' scheme, a collaboration between the University of Cambridge and local educational institutions. The program aims to support 1,000 high-achieving students from under-resourced communities in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and Dorset over the next decade.

The scheme will provide funding and college visits, leveraging existing links to the area. It will begin this term with the first 100 pupils, with new cohorts added annually. The EdTech Innovation Hub, which established the ETIH Innovation Awards 2026, is backing this innovative approach to tackling educational inequalities in the region.
