Nordhorn Hiring for Key Youth Participation Role

Nordhorn is hiring a full-time employee for its Youth Work department, focusing on young people's participation. The role is permanent, with a 39-hour workweek. Applications are open until October 19, 2025.

The successful candidate will serve as the central contact for the 'Child-friendly Communities' program and its action plan. Key responsibilities include initiating and accompanying projects that highlight young people's interests and coordinating the development of sustainable participation structures.

Supporting youth facilities in reflecting and further developing participation, as well as promoting voluntary engagement and networking participation opportunities, are also crucial aspects of the role. Planning and organizing events like the children's city NOHhausen and actions for the World Children's Day will be part of the job.

Applicants should have professional experience in youth participation, youth education work, or open children and youth work. A completed degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification is required.
