Mark Your Calendars: Two Key Cultural Events in Osnabrück This Fall

Mark your calendars for two significant cultural events in Osnabrück. The first, 'Culture as a location factor - impact on work and economy', will take place on October 13, 2025, at Speicher III of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. Admission is free, but registration is required via gstoo.de/standortfaktor-kultur. The second event, 'The Relevance Monitor Culture', will occur on November 3, 2025, at the attic of the Lagerhalle Osnabrück.

Both events are part of the 'City.Culture.Future.' series, organized by the Cultural Authority of the City of Osnabrück and the Osnabrück Theater. The series explores the future role of culture in cities and features moderated discussions with prominent figures from politics, business, and culture.

The kick-off event on October 13 will delve into the impact of culture on work and the economy. Speakers include Martin Eberle, Vanessa Waldvogel, Prof. Gesa Birnkraut, Felix Osterheider, and Wolfgang Beckermann. The series will also reflect on four decades of film narratives about migration, belonging, and identity, covering themes from the return of guest workers in the 1980s to transnational identities in the 2020s.

On November 3, Dorothea Gregor from the Liz Mohn Foundation will present a nationwide study on the importance of cultural offerings in people's daily lives. This will be followed by a discussion.

These events highlight the significance of culture in social cohesion, economic development, and urban planning. They provide a platform for dialogue and reflection on the role of culture in shaping our cities' future. Both events offer free admission, fostering inclusivity in cultural engagement.
