Cerritos College Job Fair Returns in October 2023
Mark your calendars! The Cerritos College Job Fair is back and will take place on Friday, October 2, 2023. This exciting event will be held at the Student Center located at 11110 Alondra Boulevard in Norwalk.
More than 30 employers from various industries will participate, offering a wide range of opportunities in healthcare, sales, retail, and government/public sectors. The Job Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing ample time for attendees to network and explore potential job prospects.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in professional business attire and bring multiple copies of their resumes. On-site resume assistance will be available to help job seekers make a great first impression.

In other news, Cerritos College has secured a $3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education aimed at improving Hispanic students' enrollment, performance, and graduation rates. This grant is part of the college's ongoing commitment to student success and providing high-quality academic programs and student services, as demonstrated by the Cerritos College Faculty Senate's resolution passed on October 23, 2018.
Unfortunately, the ongoing negotiations between the Cerritos College Faculty Association and the college administration have reached an impasse as of April 14, 2022. The faculty will rally before the Board of Trustees meeting on April 20, 2022, to express their concerns.
As of April 14, 2022, Cerritos College has a 36% unrestricted reserve, totaling $41.8 million, which is $36 million more than the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office requirement. This strong financial position allows the college to continue investing in its students' success and academic programs.
