International specialists are relied upon extensively in Garbsen.
The city of Hannover is once again participating in the successful project "Hola Kita!", which brings Spanish specialists to daycare centers in the regions. The second run of the project is taking place in Garbsen and is a collaboration between Spanish specialists, the city administration, the regional economic development agency, several municipalities, and charitable organisations.
The project aims to attract qualified specialists and promote intercultural exchange. Two host families are currently needed for the second project run: one for the AWO daycare center Kleegrund from November 2025, one for the Catholic Family Center St. Anna from February 2026. Interested host families can contact the participating daycare centers directly or the education agency of the city administration via email at kitaverwaltung@unsere Website.
The goal of the project is to improve early childhood education in the regions and provide Spanish specialists with practical experience to prepare for recognition as state-certified educators in Germany. Host families play a crucial role in making the Spanish specialists feel at home and enriching their own family life.
Mayor Claudio Provenzano emphasizes the importance of the project for family-friendliness, education, and equal opportunities in the city. The project continues with the collaboration of the AWO Social Services District Hannover gGmbH, the Catholic Family Centers Garbsen, and the DRK Children and Youth Services in the regions Hannover gGmbH.
Graduates of the Spanish "Grado en Educación Infantil" degree program are participating in the second project run. The first meeting for the second project run is scheduled for 24 September 2025. The project is designed to sustainably strengthen early childhood education in the regions of Hannover.
For the daycare centers in the regions of Hannover, the project is a valuable opportunity to provide high-quality early childhood education and to promote intercultural exchange. The project has been successful in the past and is expected to continue to make a positive impact on the regions.
Currently, host families are still needed for the project. If you are interested in becoming a host family, please contact the participating daycare centers or the education agency of the city administration via email at kitaverwaltung@unsere Website. The city administration is participating in the project "Hola Kita!" for the next round, and the project is designed to improve early childhood education in the regions of Hannover.
