Dazzling Russian Scholars: The Elite 400-Point Scorers

The Russian education system has produced an impressive number of high-achieving students, with the combination of mathematics, physics, informatics, and the Russian language consistently proving to be a winning formula.

THE FIRST BRILLIANT 400-POINTER

A Moscow engineering student has just broken the 400-point barrier in the EGE, leaving educators in awe. Anzor Muzaev, Director of Rosobrnadzor, announced the news at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

Alas, the student's identity remains a mystery, as the results are not yet final. But we do know that there could be more identical achievers, as the examination process continues with reserve days and make-ups.

GENDER BATTLE ROYALE

Before this year's sensational record, there were ten 400-pointers since the Unified State Exam's inception in 2001. Both boys and girls have claimed an equal number of the prestigious title.

In 2024, Alexandra Ogloblina from Moscow's Bauman Engineering School No. 1580 became the sole perfect scorer with an "engineering" EGE focus. She's now studying "Programming Engineering" at the MGTU named after N.E. Bauman, concentrating on artificial intelligence.

The years 2023 and 2022 saw no 400-point champions. However, in 2021, three record holders emerged, all of them young women. Classmates Ekaterina Grishina and Irina Brodskaya, both from Moscow School No. 1514 named after V.I. Vernadsky, achieved perfect scores in mathematics, Russian, physics, and informatics. Ekaterina is studying Computer Science at the Higher School of Economics in the "Applied Mathematics and Informatics" program, while their colleague Alika Osadchaya, a humanities student from Rostov-on-Don, chose the Law Faculty of MGIMO.

In 2020, Dmitri Lomsadze from Kostroma's School N 30 and his namesake Dmitri Savichev from Bauman Engineering School No 1580 both scored perfect "engineering" bundles. The former's future academic pursuits remain unknown, but Dmitri Savichev expressed his desire to study at MIPT (Moscow PhysTech).

The years 2019 and 2018 welcomed two record holders each. In 2019, Anastasia Predelina from an Ekaterinburg gymnasium and Daniil Dryabin from a Tula lyceum both scored high in physics-math classes. Anastya enrolled at St. Petersburg State University for "Mathematics, Algorithms, and Data Analysis," while Daniil went to MIPT, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.

Ruslan Salimgareev, a Moscow school graduate from 2018, was the EGE star that year, scoring the highest in Russian, math, chemistry, and biology. He enrolled at Moscow State University, Faculty of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.

The record was first set in 2013 by Alexander Malyshev from the "Lyceum of Natural Sciences" in Kirov, who brilliantly passed Russian, physics, chemistry, and biology, and later enrolled at Moscow State University, Faculty of Fundamental Medicine.

RECIPE FOR EXAM SUCCESS

These exceptional students share common traits. None set out to score 100 on the EGE; they simply pursued subjects they found fascinating. They actively participated in school olympiads, such as the All-Russian one, which is highly recommended for its deep knowledge and ability to solve non-standard tasks. With a substantial foundation, one can secure admission to their dream university within a few months if they understand the exam format, strictly adhere to its requirements, prepare practice tests, and manage their time effectively while coping with stress.

It's important to remember that having hobbies, taking time to rest, going for walks, and socializing with friends should not be ignored.

Battling Adolescent Struggles: Insights into Teens and Parents

EGE Insights: The provided search results lack detailed information on the record holders of the Unified State Exam (EGE) in Russia since 2001 or their chosen fields of study. Typically, top EGE scorers focus on competitive fields like mathematics, computer science, medicine, physics, economics, and law. More accurate data would require consulting official Russian education ministry releases or educational news covering the EGE results.

  • Pursuing subjects that spark their interest, such as online education in mathematics, computer science, and engineering, can lead students to excel in the EGE, as shown by the 400-point scorers, including Alexandra Ogloblina who now specializes in programming engineering and artificial intelligence.
  • The combination of active participation in school olympiads, effective time management, and preparation for practice tests, often supplemented by online education, forms a winning strategy for success in the EGE, as demonstrated by the remarkable achievers in education-and-self-development.
