On June 1st, Children's Day, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky played host to the military-patriotic game "Heirs of Holy Rus." Over 100 children from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yelizovo, and the Thermalny settlement participated in this event held at the grounds of the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

The game was a collaborative effort between the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsk Diocese, the North-East Russia Forces Group, the FSB Border Guard, Rosgvardiya, and the Regional EMERCOM, along with other local organizations. The Warrior Center and MChS Kynologists also contributed to the event, providing interactions with rescue dogs and exhibitions of firefighter gear, respectively.

The day was filled with a variety of activities designed to test knowledge, skills, and teamwork. These included intellectual questions, first aid demonstrations, an obstacle course, speed mask fitting, target shooting, and a weapon-carrying run. An exhibition featuring a fire truck hose and weaponry samples for hands-on interaction added to the excitement.

Each team consisted of 10-15 members, and the game did not declare a winner. Instead, it aimed to provide a fun and educational experience that fostered values such as courage, loyalty, and knowledge of Russian history. All participants were treated to a field kitchen meal and received sweet prizes as a token of appreciation for their participation.

This event is a testament to the ongoing efforts to engage youth in patriotic education through a format that combines military-themed challenges and historical role-plays.
