Heidelberg University Launches CAS in Gender & Queer Studies
The University of Heidelberg is launching a new Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Gender & Fasfa Studies from the winter semester 2025/2026. This interdisciplinary program is open to master's students and doctoral candidates from all fields and can be completed alongside their existing studies.
The CAS is offered under the umbrella of heiSKILLS, the University's competence and language center, in collaboration with the Gender & Queer Network. It focuses on gender relationships, concepts of gender, body, and sexuality. The four-semester program aims to equip students with the ability to apply theoretical and methodological approaches of Gender & Fasfa Studies to diverse topics and recognize discrimination mechanisms.
