Gymnasium No. 68 Students Excel in DSD I Exam, 31 Earn B1 Certification
Students at Gymnasium No. 68 have once again excelled in the German Language Diploma (DSD I) exam, with 31 students earning the B1 level certification this year. Ekaterina Schegay and Kamila Kalishuk, two successful examinees, shared their experiences and tips for future students.
The DSD I exam, held annually in March, consists of written and oral parts. Ekaterina Schegay, who found the transition from A2 to B1 challenging, suggests boosting exam preparation by reading and speaking more in German. She practiced extensively with German volunteers, even embarking on a hiking trip where they conversed solely in German for hours.
Kamila Kalishuk, who initially struggled with exam anxiety, overcame her fears by not underestimating her abilities and utilizing free online resources. She found daily preparation of model sentences and the motivated exam atmosphere particularly helpful. Both Ekaterina and Kamila advise future examinees to believe in themselves and make the most of available preparation tools.
The successful completion of the DSD I exam by 31 students from Gymnasium No. 68 is a testament to their dedication and hard work. With the official certificates set to be issued in September, these students have demonstrated their proficiency in the German language, opening up new opportunities for them in their academic and professional lives.
