A Glimpse at Macon's Journey

Macon's music story has humble beginnings, like many budding producers – as a 14-year-old kid messing around with production software. He first tasted success with a novel approach – remixing video game character voices with copyright-free music on YouTube! His digital experiments earned him a massive following of 120,000 by the tender age of 15.

Next came his big break – being invited to a writing camp for renowned German DJ Mo, where he honed his skills for a year. His diligent practice paid off, leading to his first official release on SP Records. For the next three years, Macon went incognito as a ghost producer, co-creating tracks that together amassed an impressive 100 million streams. His high point came in 2019 when he collaborated with his idol, Oliver Helens. Despite his triumph, Macon sensed a missing piece – his identity as an artist.

The Birth of Hypertechno

In our masterclass, Macon shares his ingenious insight – for noting a gap in the market. He recognized that listeners loved tracks like Dinoro's "In My Mind" and SAR's "Miss You," but there was a glaring gap in similar tunes. Inspired by the success of producer Vice and his slap house genre, Macon decided to create his own.

So, what exactly is hypertechno? Macon elucidates with his characteristic energy – it's all about blending pop vocals with pounding 140 BPM techno beats. After several failed attempts, his remix of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" blew up on TikTok, marking the official birth of hypertechno!
