Forward-Thinking Blueprint for Tomorrow's Education Institute
The Centre for Innovative Learning, a visionary educational institution, is set to transform a repurposed shopping mall in an exciting new venture. The school's slogan, "Igniting the flame in all learners," encapsulates its primary focus on student achievement and fostering curiosity.
The Centre for Innovative Learning aims to provide equitable and innovative education for all students, with schedules co-created to cater to individual needs for success. Certified teachers, along with community experts such as politicians and business and industry leaders, will be employed to ensure a holistic learning experience.
One of the most unique aspects of this school is its unconventional classroom spaces. The beauty salon will be transformed into a cosmetology school classroom, the former movie theater into a performance arts space, and the Barnes & Noble bookstore into a cutting-edge school library. The local arcade will become an esports arena, offering students a chance to explore digital gaming in a competitive setting.
The school's high school, elementary school, and middle school will utilise reclaimed storefronts as classroom spaces, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. The food court will be reimagined as a school cafeteria, staffed by students, providing a practical learning opportunity.
The Centre for Innovative Learning is committed to parental involvement and has developed programs for older students and alumni to help guide and mentor younger students. Four full-time certified school librarians will be employed, one for each school level, and a full-time makerspace librarian to foster creativity and innovation.
The school's advanced tech will be provided by leftover items from the Apple store, ensuring students have access to the latest technology. The Centre for Innovative Learning is a recipient of the 2022 Innovative Leader Awards, a testament to its groundbreaking approach to education.
Christopher Lockhart, Director of Technology at Princeton City Schools in Ohio, emphasises the importance of providing students with what they need for success. He is among those celebrating the Centre for Innovative Learning at a new event for the 2022 Innovative Leader Awards.
As the Centre for Innovative Learning prepares to open its doors, it promises to ignite the flame of curiosity and learning in all its students, offering a unique and innovative educational experience.
