The Higher Education Bundle 2 Public-Private Partnership (PPP) has been awarded under the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science PPP programme, marking a significant step towards the development of five new higher education facilities across multiple Irish technological university campuses.

The total construction cost of these facilities, excluding VAT, is approximately €380 million. The campuses involved in Bundle 2 are South East Technological University (SETU) at Waterford and Carlow, Atlantic Technological University (ATU) at Galway and Letterkenny, and Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) at Limerick.

These five new buildings include STEM and learning facilities such as laboratories, lecture rooms, studios, and general teaching spaces. For instance, at SETU Waterford, the project includes a 12,894 square meter Engineering, Computing, and General Teaching Building designed to support over 3,400 students, and at SETU Carlow, a 6,100 square meter Advanced Science Building is planned.

The team advising Invesis on the financing of this Bundle 2 PPP includes Aaron Boyle, Imelda Shiels, Audrey Hughes, Aisling Brennan, Sarah Barrett, Bob Hughes, and Sorcha Ryder. Each member of this team has a distinct role, although specific roles related to construction, maintenance, or operations, or the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science PPP programme have not been disclosed.

The projects commenced construction immediately after contract signing on 26 June 2025, with service commencement planned between Q3 2027 and Q2 2028. The team working on the Higher Education Bundle 2 PPP contract consists of seven members, although their specific educational or professional backgrounds have not been mentioned.
