CEIN Project Update: Innovation and Nature Converge in Erftstadt
The Center for Innovation with Nature (CEIN), a new research and transfer center established by Rhineland Technical University (TH Köln) in Erftstadt, is set to take a significant step forward. On August 19, 2025, the project partners will provide an update on the current planning status of the CEIN at the Council Chamber of the city of Erftstadt.
The CEIN is a hub aimed at fostering knowledge, interaction, and exchange among citizens, students, public and private actors, companies, and scientists. Its focus is on future-proof infrastructures, climate-resilient spaces, sustainable resource management, and new forms of collaboration between science and society.
The event will be attended by prominent figures such as Frank Rock, District Administrator of the Rhein-Erft district, Carolin Weitzel, Mayor of the city of Erftstadt, Ina Brandes, Minister of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Prof. Dr. Gerd Sadowski, Acting Vice-President for Economic and Personnel Administration of TH Köln.
