The CHECK! Student Research Center Solingen is gearing up for an exciting summer semester, with a significant expansion of its course program. In a recent announcement, the center revealed a new collaboration with the municipal media center of the school administration, set to enhance the learning experience, particularly for school classes.

This upcoming partnership will broaden the horizons of the research center, offering a wide range of topics for older students, including chemistry, computer science, artificial intelligence, biology, creative techniques, and more. For younger students, the summer program will provide opportunities for gaining their first scientific experiences in the areas of nature and sustainability.

The course program, registration details, and material packages for the municipal media center will be available on the CHECK! website (www.check-solingen.de) from February. Registration for the summer semester opens on January 13, 2025, at 9:00 AM and closes on January 19 at 11:59 PM. Course places will be allocated by lottery after the registration phase.

The courses will take place in the facilities of the Founder and Technology Center on the Innovation.Campus. The course rooms are located in House 1 at Grünewalder Straße 29-31, within walking distance from Grünewald station. The center, centrally located and easily accessible by public transportation, offers around 100 free courses in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, and technology (MINT) for young people aged 6 to 19.

In addition to the new collaboration, CHECK! has established partnerships with local companies such as Erdmann system house, Codecentric AG, and item, offering exciting excursions as part of the summer program. Another special collaboration is with the School of Games in Cologne.
