Durham University Celebrates Global Connections and Successes This Spring
Durham University is hosting a range of events and initiatives this spring, from cultural celebrations to academic collaborations. The university, which boasts over 120 nationalities among its staff and students, is also actively condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The university's international connections will be celebrated during Durham Global Week, taking place from March 4th to 11th. This event follows the successful Ukraine Talk Series led by Dr. Markian Prokopovych, which has been twinned with Zaporizhzhia National University in Ukraine.
Durham University is also expanding its global presence with the opening of its first office in India this week. Professor Xiaoling Zhang, Dr. Anil Kumar, and Dr. Rachel Bennett are leading this initiative to establish research collaborations in the country.
Closer to home, Durham University's Day Nursery has been rated as Outstanding by Ofsted. Meanwhile, the Durham University Light Opera Group's production of Hello Dolly was a resounding success.
