Dubai Press Club (DPC) recently hosted the fifth edition of Dubai PodFest, a significant event in the region's podcasting industry. Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event brought together regional and international media organisations to explore the future of podcasting and showcase digital audio content developments.
The event, managed by Mahfoudha Saleh, blended global expertise with regional ambition. Notable sessions included workshops by YouTube, TikTok, and Podeo, focusing on optimising reach, live streaming, and data-driven growth. Dolby also demonstrated immersive audio production with Dolby Atmos technology.
Key workshop tracks covered Creative Skills and Storytelling, Business and Strategy, and Technology and Production. Local experts like ARN presenter Abdalla Salem and Wael Habbal led sessions on defining podcast identities and developing vocal presence. The workshops equipped young content creators with practical skills, reflecting Dubai's commitment to fostering innovation and advancing the podcasting industry.
