Digital Transition Devoid of Gender Bias

Within the past year, the initiative "Friends of Europe" has solicited ideas, opinions, and insights concerning the ramifications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution from policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society. The contributing chapter on "The Path to Genderless Digitalisation" was penned by Marta Ochoa, the UNI Equal Opportunities Coordinator.

The report underscores the potential positive effects of technology and automation on women's rights and empowerment, provided the right tools and direction are in place. It encompasses vital trends, advancements, and issues across all sectors of the digital ecosystem. Leading authors of the report include economist Michael Mandel, former US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Daniel A. Sepulveda, Future of Privacy Forum CEO Jules Polonetsky, UNI Global Union Equal Opportunities coordinator Marta Ochoa, former Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas, and three European Young Leaders (EYL40) - Elena Alfaro Martínez (BBVA Data & Analytics CEO), Frédéric Mazzella (blaBlaCar founder), Eva Maydell (MEP), and Alberto Alemanno (EU Law Professor).

European Commission Vice-President Andrus Ansip and Belgian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander De Croo both provided foreword and afterword to the report.
