The gathering, attended by representatives from Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and the CIS Executive Committee, aims to strengthen educational ties and improve quality across the region.
The event, which follows an exhibition of Belarusian educational achievements, has a packed agenda. It includes discussions on 18 key issues, ranging from education cooperation and Russian language teaching to information technology and professional education quality.
A notable point of interest is the development of a project concept to ensure the quality of professional education in the CIS. Additionally, the creation of a basic organization for school meals is on the table. The meeting will also address the inventory of the contractual and legal base of the CIS in the field of education for calendar 2024.
The Higher Attestation Commission anticipates an increase in candidate and doctoral dissertations based on the developments discussed. The meeting will also review the results of the 17th CIS Youth Delphi Games in 2023 and plan for future Delphi events.
With nearly 30,000 foreign students, including those from CIS countries, studying in Belarus, the meeting presents an opportunity to foster closer educational ties and enhance the quality of education across the CIS. The specific countries involved in the vocational education development project remain unclear, but the meeting's wide-ranging agenda signals a commitment to comprehensive educational cooperation.
