Circle Herford Vocational Colleges Open Doors to Career Exploration
Vocational colleges in the Circle Herford are inviting young people and adults to explore career opportunities. From November 24th to 27th, each college will host taster days, offering insights into various educational programs and teaching methods.
Dr. Burkhard Nolte, the education director, encourages visitors to learn about the diverse focuses each college offers. These include Health and Sport, Economy and Administration, Design, Construction and Wood, and Agriculture and Nutrition, among others. Each vocational college tailors its professional focuses to suit the regional economy.
During the taster days, participants can experience teaching methods for future technical assistants in construction, fashion, IT, and design. The Wilhelm-Normann-Berufskolleg in Herford, for instance, specialises in agriculture and nutrition. Meanwhile, the August-Griese-Berufskolleg in Loehne will continue classes as usual during planned renovations starting at the end of 2026. Additionally, open door days will take place at specific dates and times for each college, with Circle Herford's vocational colleges welcoming visitors on November 7th and 8th.
The vocational colleges under the Circle Herford provide continuous educational programs, allowing individuals to catch up on and obtain general school leaving certificates. With taster days and open door events, these institutions offer valuable opportunities for young people and adults to explore their career options.
