Brazil's Leaders Converge at Harvard for Early Childhood Development Program

In a significant show of international cooperation, high-ranking Brazilian officials and community leaders gathered at Harvard University in June 2025 for the Executive Leadership Program for Early Childhood Development. The event, organized by the National Center for Policy Initiatives (NCPI), attracted a diverse range of participants, reflecting the breadth of Brazil's commitment to early childhood development.

The program saw the attendance of vice-governors, senators, and mayors, demonstrating the government's support for the initiative. Notably, it also included leaders from indigenous, quilombola, and riverine communities, ensuring a holistic representation of Brazilian society.

Representatives from key ministries, such as Education and Health, as well as the Fund for the Development of Basic Education (FNDE) and Brazil's largest TV broadcaster, participated. This interdepartmental and inter-sectoral approach underscored the program's comprehensive nature.

The participants, hailing from all regions of Brazil, brought a wealth of diverse professional backgrounds. They included public managers, civil society leaders, academics, and communication professionals, each bringing unique perspectives to the table.
