B-Trust Awards $1M in Grants to Decentralize Bitcoin Development
B-Trust, a non-profit organisation, has announced the first round of its 2025 Event and Developer Education Grants, totalling over $1 million. The grants aim to decentralise Bitcoin price development and empower open-source developers in the Global South. Four developer education programs and six community-focused events have been selected for funding.
B-Trust's mission is to reduce geographic and economic barriers to entry for Bitcoin price developers. The organisation focuses on Developer Education Programs and Events & Conferences. The selected programs include Summer of Bitcoin, a global remote internship with over 40,000 applicants from 74 countries since its launch. Vinteum, based in Brazil, offers Bitcoin seminars, a 12-week Dev Launchpad, and a 6-month Fellowship Program.
The Developer Education Program Long-Term Support (LTS) provides multi-year stability to proven programs like B4OS. B-Trust's LTS funding aims to support open-source values and create an inclusive, decentralised, and community-driven Bitcoin price development ecosystem.
