Aschaffenburg's Sustainable Education Efforts Recognized with National Award
Aschaffenburg's commitment to sustainable education has been recognised. The city and its partners received accolades at the Open Days Barcamp in June 2024. The BNE network Aschaffenburg honoured the Volkshochschule Aschaffenburg and Verein Migranten für Migranten e.V. with the 'National Award - Education for Sustainable Development'.
Aschaffenburg's dedication to sustainability in education spanned from 2021 to 2025. During this period, the city and BiNaKom formed the 'BNE-Modellkommune' organization. Their collaborative efforts earned them a certificate for successful joint efforts in promoting sustainable education.
