A significant minority of parents in Chita express a preference for male instructors in elementary schools, with 5% being the reported figure.

In a recent survey conducted by SuperJob in Chita, Russia, the preferences of parents for their first-graders' teachers have been revealed. The survey sheds light on several factors that influence parental choices when it comes to selecting a teacher for their child's education.

According to the survey, professionalism and qualification are key considerations for parents. They prefer teachers who are well-qualified and demonstrate a strong expertise in their subject. Effective communication with both students and parents is also highly valued, as is a caring, patient, and understanding approach from teachers.

More experienced teachers tend to be preferred for their proven ability to manage classrooms and deliver quality education. Personal qualities such as kindness, fairness, and enthusiasm also play a role in parental choice. Teachers with a good reputation or positive feedback from other parents often attract preference, and modern, engaging, and effective teaching methods are favoured by many parents.

The survey findings suggest a slight preference for female teachers among the parents of first-graders in Chita. Thirty-three percent of mothers in Chita preferred a female teacher for their first-grader, while 38% of fathers in Chita expressed a similar preference. However, it's important to note that 50% of parents in Chita stated that the gender of the teacher is not important to them.

In terms of age, 40% of parents in Chita prefer a teacher who is between 30 and 40 years old. Only 6% of parents prefer a teacher who is over 50 years old, while 8% of parents prefer a teacher who is under 30. Interestingly, the preference for a teacher's age varies among mothers and fathers in Chita, with mothers tending to prefer teachers aged 30 to 40, and fathers being more likely to consider age unimportant and slightly prefer teachers over 50.

The survey did not reveal a clear majority preference for either a female or male teacher among the parents of first-graders in Chita. It also did not provide information on why parents might prefer teachers of specific age ranges or genders in Chita.

Overall, the SuperJob survey findings indicate that parents in Chita value qualified, experienced, and communicative teachers who demonstrate a caring and patient approach. While there is a slight preference for female teachers among some parents, a majority of parents (50%) stated that the gender of the teacher is not important to them. The survey results also highlight the importance of personal qualities, reputation, and modern teaching methods in parental choices for teachers.
